Client Overview

A national specialty retailer was engaged via a large corporate insurance broker to standardize COPE data across a dispersed portfolio of 1,500+ U.S. locations. Legacy documentation practices created uneven data quality and incomplete risk records across regions.

Engagement path: Broker-led (not a direct client), with deliverables aligned to broker and carrier templates for clean submission to underwriters.

Challenge

The portfolio had inconsistent COPE (Construction, Occupancy, Protection, Exposure) data and limited photo verification—slowing renewals and creating friction with underwriters. Physical access constraints (rooftops, rear delivery areas) and non-uniform reporting compounded the issue, making it difficult to present verifiable submissions at scale.

Specifically:

Solution

413 Solution deployed a nationwide COPE and imagery verification program in coordination with the broker’s risk team. Each inspection followed insurer-approved data standards plus client-specific fields.

Deliverables included:

A single, standardized report captured underwriting and operational data—providing auditable submissions for carriers and actionable intelligence for maintenance and compliance.

Execution

The program ran in three phases:

1) Design & Alignment. Finalized inspection criteria with the broker’s risk engineering group to capture all insurer fields plus client priorities.

2) Nationwide Deployment. Leveraged 413 Solution’s national field network of certified inspectors and drone pilots to complete standardized inspections at all 1,500+ locations with geotagged photos and verified COPE data.

3) QA & Data Delivery. Applied multi-tier QA, delivered carrier-formatted exports, and generated store-level reports for operations and logistics stakeholders.

Results

Created a consistent, audit-ready dataset across 1,500+ locations within a 120-day window. Verified COPE and imagery improved carriers’ ability to validate protection and exposure details, supporting cleaner renewals and faster turnaround.
